EDITOR-IN-CHIEF // Journey Magazine

• Under my leadership, Journey placed first in the “Best of the Southeast” competition in the “Best College Magazine” category in the Southeast Journalism Conference, the Society of Professional Journalists Region 3 “Mark of Excellence” awards, and the Florida College Press Association Awards. Staffers also placed first for “Best Magazine Page Layout Designer,” second for “Best Magazine Writer,” and third for “Best Multimedia Journalist.”

  • Journey also placed third in the 2012 Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication magazine competition for a single issue of an ongoing print magazine. The competition attracted 240 entries from 23 universities from the United States and Canada.

• Placed 3rd in Best Multimedia category for the Southeast Journalism Conference, "Best of the South" competition and SPJ "Mark of Excellence" award for Best Non-Fiction writing.
